It is the current wisdom that St. Gerard Majella Parish and St. John the Evangelist Parish both of Canton are proposed to be joined into a single Pastoral Collaborative, in the near future, served by a single Pastoral Service Team. The Archdiocese of Boston is currently presenting a series of consultations for Pastoral Planning.
The documents introduce you to the new concept of a Pastoral Service Team (PST) and its role in a Pastoral Collaborative. The South Region list of proposed pastoral collaboratives was issued on January 18th.
MUSIC UPDATE
The Music Advisory Committee would like to acknowledge and thank everyone that participated in completing the music survey that was administered recently at during weekend masses and online. We had nearly 400 respondents. We truly appreciate your feedback and the time you took to let us know how you feel about music. The committee has compiled the data and is working towards a positive future for music at St. Gerard’s. More information will be forthcoming. In the meantime, if you were not able to participate in the survey, you can still do so by clicking on the link below. Going forward there will be music at the Saturday 4:00 and the Sunday 10:00 Masses. We have selected an organist, Claire Alty, from Norwood, MA. We are in the process of selecting several Cantors and at least one more organist. If anyone is aware . Thank you.of cantors or organists that might be interested in participating in our services, please have them contact Ellen Reynolds at the rectory office.
